Popcorn Manufacturing Team Lead - Bi-Lingual Required

KrackCorn is a growing, local to Colorado popcorn snack manufacturing company, and we are looking for a Bi-Lingual Closing Team Lead as our next great team member!

This position must be bi-lingual (English and Spanish), and will have responsibilities across all areas of the business, production, packaging, and warehouse. You will gain a thorough understanding of our entire production process, all packaging duties and timelines, and oversee a team of 10+ staff, reporting directly to the Plant Manager. This position needs to be able to operate multiple types of machinery and equipment (including kettles, poppers, conveyor belts and more), or learn and master the machines through on the job training. The Closing Team Lead is responsible for ensuring all prep times, batch times, and pack times are met; and oversight of the Team to include keeping the team on task, rotating breaks, and rotating lunches.

Prior Manufacturing experience is highly recommended, though a highly motivated and energetic individual who is self-starting, efficient with their time, and extremely detail orientated will do well in this position.

Job Details:

Salary: This position is starting at $24 an hour with multiple annual reviews for potential increases.

Job Type: This is a full-time position, 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday, with the opportunity for some overtime.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Acts as liaison between the floor team and the Plant Manager.

Acts as a team member as a kettle or packaging operator when needed in addition to lead duties.

Monitors all floor members to ensure process is being followed correctly and in a timely manner in order to meet the day’s production quota.

Intervenes, delegates, and assists if process gets off track due to human or mechanical error.

Participates in the receiving of materials and ingredients – this includes helping unload trucks, directing pallets to the correct locations, confirming correct ingredient quantities, and labeling ingredients with correct batch numbers.

Ensures ingredients are covered, stored, and rotated effectively according to their batch number.

Updates batch number board daily to ensure the correct batches are being recorded for the day’s production rounds; checks kettle production sheets at the end of the day to ensure they reflect the correct batch numbers.

Keeps equipment clean and sanitary.

Monitors product level in storage and alerts Plant Manager if any additional tools or materials are needed to be ordered.

Oversees the cleaning process at the end of the day, ensuring all team members are operating efficiently and productively. Also helps clean and wash equipment at the end of the shift.

Oversees the recording of production and data, such as processing steps, cooking time, batches processed, and times logged for pallets packaged.

Conduct and oversee all Training of any new team members.

Engages in all other necessary duties on the production floor to ensure a completed food safe product is manufactured to the full standards of KrackCorn, LLC.
