Head Cook

Popular pizza establishment in busy shopping plaza in Sterling, VA is seeking a full-time Head Cook to oversee kitchen operations. You will be tasked with efficiently preparing menu items to our high quality standards based on your professional judgment and experience. Responsibilities include: inspecting and cleaning food preparation areas (including equipment, work surfaces, and serving areas) to ensure safe and sanitary food handling practices; ensuring freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality and keeping track of old and new items/rotating stock; ensuring food is stored and cooked at correct temperatures by regulating the temperature of equipment. You will also be participating in training new kitchen staff and overseeing junior employees. Salary commesurate with experience.
