Quality Control Technician

Provides ongoing visual, probing and laboratory analysis of fresh and frozen seafood to ensure food safety.

Monitor the workmanship and quality of the product and take appropriate steps when expectations are not being met.

Identify and understand production Requirements. Understand the nature of Seafood and react quickly to minimize waste.

Maintain organized and accurate records for all inspections. Assure all label requirements follow customer specifications.

Provide up to date written communication to the customer. Ensure that proper procedures are being followed.

Ensure work is completed in line with the organization's priorities and goals.

Knowledge of head & gutting, filleting, portioning, sectioning, freezing, and packaging of all fish and Shellfish.

Experience in the fundamentals of plant equipment related to its use, maintenance, and capabilities.

Assisting other departments: Processing, Tally, Shipping and Maintenance to complete assignments that require QC.

Provide leadership that promotes and exemplifies quality.
