TITLE: Diaper Pantry Associate

SUPERVISED BY: Diaper Pantry Coordinator

STATUS: Hourly – Minimum of 10 hours weekly

PAY RANGE: $19.00 - $23.00

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF JOB: The Diaper Pantry Associate demonstrates the

mission and values of the organization by providing the highest level of service possible

in an efficient, courteous, personable and professional manner to ensure a positive

experience for our clients, volunteers and community partners. This position is

accountable to the Diaper Pantry Coordinator.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Commitment to quality services for clients and families.

2. Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to interact with people of all

ages and backgrounds, including ability to manage conflicts.

3. Strong problem solving, organizational and follow-up skills.

4. Ability to exercise good judgment, make sound decisions and protect the

confidentiality of information.

5. Ability to work independently and in a team environment which fosters effective

teamwork in meeting the mission of the Community Diaper Pantry.

6. Ability to perform heavy lifting duties which include the equivalency of lifting up to

50lbs., repeated bending and stooping, prolonged walking and standing, climbing

stairs, and frequent pushing and pulling movements.

7. Bilingual preferred but not required.

8. Must have valid Alaska driver's license, clean driving record, with three years driving

experience.

9. Must be a minimum of 23 years of age.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE NEEDED:

1. High school diploma

2. Experience working in a warehouse

3. At least one year working in customer service

4. Willing to learn and drive a cargo van

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Maintain and input data of clients into the data system.

2. Assess inventory need, wrap diaper bundles, and stock the van with diapers.

3. Drive the Community Diaper Pantry van and maintain cleanliness of vehicle,

noting any maintenance required to direct supervisor.

4. Set up, run, and take down diaper pantry days as needed.

5. Participate in fundraising events by helping set up, tear down, and help as needed.

6. Participate in community events where the diaper pantry is invited.

7. Participate in training opportunities.

8. Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.

9. Other duties as assigned.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

Agency and department orientation; First aid/CPR; blood borne pathogens and any other updated

training, mandated reporting, and other training as required. Attend all staff meetings and direct

supervision.
