ALARM/CCTV/ACCESS/LOW VOLTAGE TECHNICIAN INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS We pay top dollar to our subs who typically make between $35 and $90 an hour depending on experience and tools, in exchange for high quality installations and a great experience for our customers. Employment type: contractWestport Security Services has been providing quality, custom home security and small business system installations in Orange County for 23 years.We are currently expanding and are looking for qualified individuals, self motivated subcontractors to pre-wire and/or complete mostly residential and some light commercial installations in the following categories:
Security systems including burglar alarms, life safety and fire alarms
CCTV
Access control
Service calls in the above categories.
We are also interested in talking to technicians who are currently working for other companies but would like to run a few service calls in their off time in order to supplement their income. (Tools and transportation required)Candidates for security system workMUSThave a current ACE or ACO license for alarm systems. Candidates for CCTV, access control or other low voltage systems MUST have a current C7, C10 or Handyman license.Our ideal candidates are:
ACO holders who are looking to fill in the gaps in their schedule.
ACE holders who are looking for full time or part time work performing full day installations, weekend jobs and service calls both during and after hours.
C10, C7 or handyman license holders to install CCTV and access control systems.
Qualified candidates must be able to pass a background check with no felonies nor any misdemeanors involving theft. Candidates must haveas a minimum standard low voltage/alarm industry tools such as ladders, telephone test set, multi-meter, punch down tool, tone generator / probe and a vacuum. Also required arereliable transportation, valid CA driving license / proof of vehicle insurance.Qualified candidates will need to demonstrate a minimum of 3 years or more of continuous experience in one or more of the following: security systems, CCTV or structured cabling to be considered.The more tools and experience that you have, the more work we can give you.We pay very well because we deliver a quality experience to our customers meaning a clean installation and a high degree of respect for their home or business.
Technicians are paid weekly.We are partnered with multiple home automation companies that specialize in new construction and we perform the alarm system installations on their jobs. We also market to large and medium homes that have older systems that we upgrade.Our projects often exceed 40 points. Some exceeding 100 points.
