Team Lead General Position Description Responsibilities include direction of the production workforce and overseeing the operations within the designated area to facilitate the efficient flow of materials through the production process to assure quality product in the appropriate quantity and correct time frame.QualificationsEDUCATION: The Production Line Lead position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.Specific training to improve job skills will be discussed during each performance review.PROFESSIONAL: Basic computer skills and experience in a manufacturing environment.Reporting RelationshipsREPORTS TO: Production supervisor Positions MANAGED: Production associates Specific Detailed Job Responsibilities· Identify manpower requirements and communicate with Supervisor to staff accordingly.· Report all unsafe conditions and safety violations to immediate Supervisor.· Monitor employee performance for adherence to documented procedures and plant rules.· Work with Supervisor and quality to define strategies for continuous improvements toreduce defects/scrap.· Assists employees in production functions in a “hands on” environment when needed.· Communicate Quality Alerts to employees as needed.· Consistently monitors and enforces all HFI Safety rules and policies.· Report production equipment failure and ensure prompt repair and adjustments as required.· Ensure that proper materials are available to the production area to support productionschedule.· Communicate priorities and quantities to operators.· Work with Supervisor to identify and anticipate scheduling problems.· Fill the role of Supervisor during the absence of the Supervisor from the area.· Will perform the above duties and any other duties assigned by Management.
