Whatcom community college welcomes applications for a Exempt, Non-Permanent 50% Time Pathway Programs Coordinator- AHECWW position. The Pathway Programs Coordinator supports the Whatcom Community College Area Health Education Center leadership staff in implementing the center's goals, objectives, and activities in providing educational services and programs to rural and medically underserved urban populations in Western Washington. Reporting directly to the Director of the Area Health Education Center for Western Washington, the Pathway Programs Coordinator will fulfill functions, components and processes related to AHEC's mission, as well as in support of health workforce grants projects as assigned. This position works with WCC leadership and AHEC staff in supporting and fulfilling assignments as described below.

Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to:

-Supports communications for AHECWW project development, strategic partnerships, and grants, specifically for the Career Connect Washington Career Launch (CCW) grant funded for the Substance Use Disorder Professional program at Whatcom Community College (WCC).

-Coordinates processes with partner agencies, individuals, and organizations.

-Provides AHEC grant and health workforce training and professional presentations to support the Career Connect Washington Career Launch grant for the SUDP Program at WCC.

-Supports AHEC/other health grants staff in composing and editing grant reports and surveys for the CCW grant.

-Provide classroom support and assistance to SUDP Director and/or teaching faculty for the SUDP program courses as assigned.

-Develops and manages outreach, data collection, and record-keeping systems to track program processes and costs.

-Supports work planning and strategic planning activities.

-Works with AHECWW leadership to implement office procedures, reporting, and data management.

-Provides project status reports for grant deliverables; communicates with Center leadership and partners regarding deadlines and activity reports.

-Assist in the development and implementation of surveys for data collection.

-Supports and responds to AHEC inquiries.

-Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualification:

-Associates degree from an accredited institution; experience can be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.

-Six months experience in an office setting.

-Familiarity with/ability and willingness to develop skills in Microsoft Office Suite.

-Technical proficiency with classroom technology/ability to learn, manage, and maintain classroom technology for hybrid course delivery platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Experience in an office setting.

-Experience using Excel program to manage budgets.

-Experience supporting state or federal grant projects, grant budgets and/or grant data tracking and reporting.

-Ability to track expenditures and develop budgets using Excel.

-Experience working in health professions.

-Experience in higher education environment.

-Comfort and proficiency in public speaking.

-Strong ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

-Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for reimbursable travel.

-Ability to work under aggressive deadlines and to juggle multiple event timelines and related tasks on different timelines.

Salary:

-This is a temporary, grant funded, 50% time, administrative/exempt position with possible extension contingent on grant funding. Current grant-funded period is through June 30, 2025. Exempt from Washington State civil service law with an annual salary of $20,000.00 based on 50% of $40,000.00. Schedule is 20 hours per week.
