Description We are looking for a diligent and meticulous Bookkeeper to join our team in the Wholesale Distribution - Dur Goods industry located in Reno, Nevada. This role provides a contract to hire employment opportunity focused on managing both Accounts Receivables (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) to maintain accurate financial records. The successful candidate will be exposed to a wide range of tasks and will have room for growth.Responsibilities: Oversee the invoicing process, including freight invoicing, to ensure accurate and timely billing Manage Accounts Receivables (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP), ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and up-to-date Conduct regular bank account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records Prepare and analyze profit and loss statements for financial reporting Execute check runs to facilitate timely payments to vendors and suppliers Ensure bills are paid according to the company's financial schedule to avoid any late fees or penalties Address the task of closing books that are behind schedule, ensuring all financial records are up-to-date Maintain day-to-day financial records, performing clean up as necessary to ensure accurate bookkeeping Utilize the Syspro ERP system for various tasks, including running reports Handle ad hoc reporting as required, providing key financial data to support decision making.If interested please apply today and for immediate consideration call Keisha Lawrence at 775-313-0454Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in a bookkeeping role Proficiency in account reconciliation Knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes Experience in performing bank reconciliations Proficient in bookkeeping principles and procedures Skilled in data entry tasks Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel Experience with month-end close processes Knowledge and experience in handling payroll Familiarity with SYSPRO software Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to adapt to changing work environment and priorities.
