Help Wanted: Staff Engineer / Project Engineer

BKG Structural Engineers is a Mid-Peninsula Structural Engineering firm with expertise in a variety of project types. What we hope to offer is an exciting opportunity for the right individual(s). The majority of our work is custom residential design intermingled with some commercial, industrial, and miscellaneous projects. Our approach is immersive. Engineers in our firm learn to design from top to bottom, all inclusive. We help develop our staff to become experts in all aspects of engineering – analytics, drafting, design, client care, construction support, etc. We offer solid mentorship in a supportive work environment with an emphasis on personal development.

The Job:

As a Staff Engineer / Project Engineer we will rely on you to contribute on a variety of project types at different levels (depending on experience). With the help of our project managers, successful candidates will be motivated to work directly with our clients and contractors to find creative, efficient, and safe solutions. Job responsibilities include:

Communicate with architects / contractors / clients / plan checkers / others

Execute structural drawings and calculations

Make site visits at project onset & critical phases of construction
