Are you looking for an employer that is up front, authentic, and delivers on promises? If so, Timber IT Consulting is the place we want you to call home. We have gone to great lengths to bridge the gap between consulting and the full time/perm placement and have curated the best employment experience in the business. Our Client is creating an airline people love. Are you passionate about using technology to help those around you succeed? Do you think about technology as a way to increase operational efficiency, boost team performance, drive customer value, and digitally transform how a business operates? As a product manager at our client, you will play a key role within Information Technology Systems (ITS), helping led the product roadmap for over ten systems within the Crew Systems portfolio. You will partner with customers – business stakeholders, pilots, and flight attendants – to create and manage a product backlog, document and refine user requirements, drive product discovery and customer research, and deliver solutions on-time and on-budget. Ultimately, a top-performing product manager works quickly and efficiently to deliver solutions that delight customers and continuously improve the Crew Systems. Major Responsibilities:

  • Drive product vision and prioritization of features for Crew Systems product portfolio (over 10 applications/systems used by pilots, flight attendants, and back-office administrators)
  • Engage with customers through face-to-face meetings and a variety of channels to serve as the voice of the customer internally to engineering, QA/QE and delivery teams
  • Create and maintain a product roadmap with inputs from all stakeholders, managing trade-offs between customer experience, performance, and operational support for the overall good of the company
  • Provide effective written and verbal updates on the product roadmap and key projects to senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Embody the Spirit and conduct oneself with Professionalism, Integrity, Resourcefulness and Caring
Job Duties:
  • Participate in the Agile process, including using Azure DevOps (ADO) to prioritize the product backlog, groom stories, and plan sprints
  • Write Features and Stories (work includes gathering customer requirements, product discovery exercises, coordinating inputs from UX design and Engineering teams, and defining detail acceptance criteria)
  • Collaborate across a highly matrixed organization with enterprise partners to develop IT system solutions that: support business strategies and goals; conform to technology design and implementation best practices; and optimize the user experience
  • Lead the effort with technical and business partners to identify and document requirements for the development and implementation of internal systems; ensuring processes are scalable and flexible to meet future business needs and represent the best overall fit for the organization
  • Partner with system integration teams and technical implementation partners to develop, define and trace technical requirements to support processes and system changes
  • Lead effort to construct workflow charts and diagrams, document system capabilities and writing specifications to create Business Requirement Documents (BRDs)
  • Anticipate the needs of technical and business stakeholders affected by process change
  • Facilitate activities with users to define and document use cases, scenarios and test scripts
  • Co-lead design and usability sessions, customer research, and beta group testing
  • Coordinate with business and technical teams to resolve urgent issues as they arise to ensure high quality results and user satisfaction
  • Create/deliver presentations on requirements and solution to internal partners and external customers for review and input
  • Other duties as assigned
Top 5 Skills:
  • Ability to work within a highly matrixed organization with varying priorities and perspectives (from business partners, UX design, to software engineering)
  • Ability to learn new and complex processes and rules quickly. Having a background in the airline industry would be very helpful with terminology and rules, but not a must
