Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and EXPERIENCED Machine Technician to join our team. As a Machine Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various types of machinery, vans and equipment. This is a hands-on role that requires strong TECHNICAL knowledge and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with machines, specifically wood cutting equipment such as CNC Routers, Edgebanders and Machining Centers.
- Other equipment includes forklifts, vacuum pumps, compressors, saws, dust collectors, and installation vans.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems or areas for improvement
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operation of machinery
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs of shop equipment and installation vans
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical certifications or training preferred
- Proven experience as a Machine Technician or similar role in an industrial setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of electrical systems, PLCs, and hydraulics
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Experience with CNC machinery (wood or metal) and associated components is highly desirable
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex machinery issues
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- OEM Factory training will be provided to the right individual
