Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team. The Head Chef will be responsible for overseeing all culinary activities in the kitchen, ensuring high-quality dishes are prepared and served efficiently while also reflecting the business and what we aim to achieve.

Responsibilities:

- Manage kitchen staff and coordinate food preparation

-Hiring and scheduling staff appropriately to keep labor costs low

- Supervise all aspects of food production, including menu planning, recipe creation, and food presentation

- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations

- Oversee inventory management and ordering of supplies

- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers

- Train kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety procedures

- Monitor food costs and work towards budgetary goals

- Collaborate with Director of Operations to create a menu and new items.

-Design a menu keeping in mind costs, atmosphere of the business, and business standards

Skills:

- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a restaurant or hospitality setting

- Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate kitchen staff

- Excellent knowledge of kitchen management, culinary techniques, and shift management

- Proficiency in food preparation, including experience in a dietary department

- Understanding of food handling procedures and safety regulations
