Line Cook
Two Doors Down, an independently-owned burger bar located on the backside of Capitol Hill, is looking for a part-time cook Wednesday through Sundays. Weekday shifts begin at 4 pm and last until 10 or 11:30 pm, depending on the day. Our hours of operation on the weekend are noon to 10:30 pm. We can promise you 20-25 hours per week. We need an individual with some experience working on a line in a restaurant, who is quick on their feet, reliable, and interested in gaining valuable experience. Duties include
Light prep - chopping onions, slicing tomatoes, breading rings, making sauces
Assistance on the flat top cooking burgers
Light dishwashing and flipping the line
Portioning and organizing the walk in
Opening the restaurant for service and maintaining the highest of health code standards
Starting pay is DOE and all cooks participate in a lucrative tip sharing pool - the tips are available in cash the next day. Please send a resume and brief cover letter.
