Inventory Control & Forklift Driver Needed

EE Schenck, a wholesale distributor of fabrics and sewing notions, is seeking a person to act as our Inventory Control/Forklift Driver for our Cutting Department and warehouse. This position oversees inventory control for the Cutting Department and also acts as the liaison between Cutting, Receiving, Inventory Control and the Cutting Manager.

The right candidate will have the right combination of experience, attention to detail, know-how, and familiar with warehouse work. Must have experience working with computers and possess forklift certification.

Key functions of this position include:

Workorder fulfillment/picking

Oversee case-packs, including picking, posting, etc.

Roll on Tube (ROT) inventory maintenance, including location auditing and adjusting

Receiving Department ROT liaison

Troubleshoot receipts as needed, including adjusting quantities and location

Operates standing forklift regularly as well as other warehouse machinery

Warehouse non-ROT inventory maintenance, such as shipping boxes, shrink film, etc.

Assists with receiving, inventory

Job Requirements:

Attention to detail

Good communication skills

Understanding of inventory and inventory controls

Able to work independently

Ability to obtain EE Schenck compliant forklift certification

Ability to multitask

The ideal candidate will have at least one (1) year of experience working in a warehouse environment and operating a standing forklift. If necessary certifications to drive and operate a standing forklift are needed or have expired, candidate must be willing to obtain new certification shortly after hire.
