Veterinary Front Office
Humphrey Giacopuzzi & Associates Equine Hospital is a full-service equine facility that has been opened for over 35 years. We provide primary and referral veterinary services to Ventura and the surrounding counties. The scope of our services includes ambulatory ranch calls, lameness and performance exams, equine reproduction, internal medicine, critical care, imaging/diagnostics, pre-purchase exams and dentistry. We also offer advanced therapies such as shockwave, IRAP, PRP and pro-stride.
Our facilities include an equine surgical suite with recovery room, neonatal intensive care unit, fully equipped Select Breeders Affiliate Lab reproductive facility and a fully staffed barn for intensive care 24 hours a day.
Humphrey Giacopuzzi & Associates Equine Hospital is looking to add two fun, friendly caring people to our front office team. Knowledge of Equine, and experience with veterinary medicine is highly recommended.
Applicants must have good communication skills, both verbally and written, and have computer skills with Microsoft Applications. You must be able to work as a team player and independently. Must be self-motivated, be able to multitask in a high volume and fast-paced atmosphere for a practice with 8 + Doctors. You must have basic knowledge of the Equine body parts, basic colic illness, reproduction and lameness's.
Job Requirements:
Excellent customer service.
Answering multi-line phones.
Responding to emails in a timely manner.
Handling multiple phone lines, in a fast paced environment.
Scheduling appointments for field and hospital cases for 8 doctors.
Checking in and discharging patients with the correct equine vocabulary.
Computer skills including Microsoft applications.
Keeping up with Medical Records and daily office tasks.
Qualifications:
High School or Equivalent (Preferred)
You must have basic knowledge of the Equine body parts, basic colic illness, reproduction, and lameness's.
Veterinary Experience: 1 year (Preferred) but will train the right person.
Full Time: Tuesday -Friday 8am-5pm and Saturdays 8am-4pm. Sunday-Monday Off
