Position SummaryWhat you'll doJoin our team as a Tech Lead Staff Software Engineer and spearhead the integration of AI into our web products, leading a talented team to revolutionize user experience and developer productivity through innovative AI solutions.About Team:Our team works closely with our US stores and eCommerce business to better serve customers by empowering team members, stores, and merchants with technological innovation. From groceries and entertainment to sporting goods and crafts, Walmart U.S. offers an extensive selection that our customers value, whether they shop online at Walmart.com, through one of our mobile apps, or in-store. Focus areas include customers, stores and employees, in-store service, merchant tools, merchant data science, and search and personalization.What you'll do:

Lead and mentor a team of 4-10 engineers, setting technical direction and fostering a collaborative environment.

Drive the discovery and implementation phases of projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and deploy AI-enhanced features. Fine-tune existing AI models and integrate them into our systems to improve customer interaction and operational efficiency.

Conduct design and code reviews, upholding high standards of quality and introducing new architectural patterns.

Convert complex project requirements into practical technical solutions, aligning with overarching business goals and ensuring timely delivery.

What you'll bring:

Strong leadership skills with experience managing technical teams

Extensive experience in web development, with a strong command of React, Node.js

Proficiency in Python, with a solid understanding of fine-tuning AI models to fit specific business needs, enhancing both user experience and backend processes.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Excellent communication skills, adept at collaborating with various stakeholders and influencing decision-making processes.
