This is an hourly full-time Store Lead position at our store at Craggy Gardens Visitor Center in Asheville, NC.

Key Accountabilities:

Minimum of three years' experience in retail management.

Motivate and lead a team to share a passion for history and engage visitors with historical products.

Results-driven with a focus on achieving sales and profitability goals.

Bring history to life for visitors through engaging storytelling and product knowledge.

Ensure a welcoming and rewarding experience for all visitors, building rapport and genuine connections.

Complete transactions efficiently and accurately while fostering visitor engagement.

Thrive in a fast-paced, people-oriented environment, connecting with visitors from diverse backgrounds.

Navigate complex historical topics with sensitivity and respect.

Possess a thirst for knowledge and a commitment to lifelong learning.

Essential Functions:

Ability to fulfill the Key Accountabilities listed above.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.

Maintain a record of prompt and reliable attendance.

Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.

Function effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships with colleagues.

Provide exceptional customer service, exceeding visitor expectations.

Identifies growth opportunities by regularly reviewing store sales.

Assist visitors in selecting products, recommending complementary items, and sharing historical insights.

Maintain a safe and appealing store environment while supporting America’s National Parks mission.

Restock the sales floor while following visual merchandising guidelines and help create visual displays. This includes lifting boxes weighing up to 15 pounds to a shelf height of 5 feet and may require standing for long periods of time to include bending, squatting, and reaching.

Operate cash register efficiently, processing payments accurately, and maintaining detailed records.

Ensures timely deposit of daily sales receipts, managing controllable expenses including payroll and operating expenses, and maintains accurate records according to America’s National Parks policy.
