Position: Line Cook Assistant Manager

Job Description:

As a Line Cook Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations to ensure the timely preparation and delivery of high-quality dishes. Your primary duties will include but are not limited to:

Leading and supervising a team of line cooks to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.

Creating and maintaining prep lists, ensuring proper mise en place for all menu items.

Monitoring food quality, portion sizes, and presentation to ensure adherence to company standards.

Managing inventory levels and placing orders for ingredients and supplies as needed.

Developing and implementing standard operating procedures to streamline kitchen workflows and improve efficiency.

Training new line cooks and providing ongoing coaching and feedback to improve performance.

Enforcing health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.

Collaborating with the head chef and management team to develop seasonal menus and specials.

Performing other duties as assigned by the executive chef or restaurant management.

Qualifications:

Previous experience working as a line cook or in a similar role in a kitchen environment.

Proven leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.

Culinary degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
