The service consultant is the primary liaison between the customer and the service technicians.

They play a crucial role in understanding the customer's service needs and communicating them effectively to the technical team. The consultant ensures a high level of customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service and support throughout the repair process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Greet customers and assist them with any inquiries regarding vehicle repairs and maintenance.

-Conduct initial diagnostics to understand the customer's concerns and vehicle issues.

Prepare accurate service estimates and explain them in detail to the customers.

-Schedule service appointments and coordinate with the technical team to ensure the timely completion of work.

-Monitor the progress of vehicle repairs and keep customers informed of any changes or additional recommendations.

Process service orders and maintain detailed records of customer interactions and transactions.

-Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly to maintain a positive reputation for the shop.

-Advise customers on warranty protections, potential cost savings, and preventive maintenance strategies.

-Collaborate with the parts department/vendors to ensure the availability of necessary components.

-Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and service offerings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Proven experience as a service consultant in a similar role in the automotive industry.

-Strong understanding of automotive systems and repair processes.

-Excellent communication and customer service skills

-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

-Proficiency in using automotive service software and tools. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

-High school diploma or equivalent, further education or certification in automotive service is a plus.
