Enchanted Medical Transport is a local and Veteran owned small business in business since 2019, that is rapidly becoming the largest Non Emergency transportation company in the state of New Mexico (our patients already know we are the BEST). We transport patients via wheelchair and stretcher, all over the State of New Mexico. Job Title: Driver
Reports To: General Manager Supervises: Assistant Driver
ROLE (summary): Provide efficient and safe transportation for our Patients/Customers daily, leaving them with an
EXPERIENCE that they will be happy to have received.
RESPONSIBILITIES (tasks):
Drive daily for regularly scheduled trips
Able to lift 75lbs and also be able to push and pull 250 lbs
Assist dispatch with scheduling, routing, special requests, as needed
Assist in following regular vehicle maintenance, repair, and cleaning schedule
Assists in monitoring and implanting all safety regulations regarding transportation
Participate in mandatory professional development
Create and support a professional and welcoming environment in service area by promoting cooperation and teamwork with department and all staff
Promote and support department and organization policies and procedures
Maintain proper and professional appearance and adhere to department and organization dress code
Assists with accurate record keeping, including billing
Ensure vehicle is clean and stocked post shift each day
Monitor and safely care for all company equipment.
Must be proficient in technology including but not limited to mobile device (Cell Phone, Tablet, and Applications) and demonstrate a willingness to learn new technology and adapt as necessary.
Must be timely to work and have Reliable transportation.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS: (education, experience, licenses, training, knowledge, skills, abilities)
High school graduate or GED
22 years old or older
Current Valid New Mexico Driver’s license
2+ years of commercial driving experience preferred but not required.
Clear three-year motor vehicle report: current DOT health card (Can help obtain if needed).
Must complete Passenger Assistance training and function as Transportation Aide as needed
Current CPR and First Aid certification (Can help obtain if needed)
Able to read, write and follow oral and written directions in English
Able to read and understand a map
Knowledge of DOT regulations a plus
Positive attitude toward the elderly
Be able to be added to our current insurance policy.
Able to pass a Drug screen and Background check
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Good physical health with no limitations; able to sit, stoop, kneel, lift 75lbs and also be able to push and pull 250 lbs; hearing and visual acuity willing; able to accept continued on-going accountability for the medical records process; good mental health and have emotional maturity to maintain self-control in any number of trying circumstances; work the hours needed to successfully manage workload; mental and emotional resilience, able to maintain an even temperament; emotional stability; ability to understand and cope with the stresses related to the job; capacity to seek professional and personal support appropriately, and as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37 – 42 per week

Weekends as needed
Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:30-7:00pm and Saturdays from 8-7.
