Automotive Cylinder Head Machinist (Scottsdale)

We are currently seeking an Automotive Machinist, Cylinder Head Repair, Valve Jobs, Engine Builder to become an integral part of our manufacturing team! You will perform valve jobs on new aluminum cylinder heads, disassemble, diagnose, repair cylinder heads. Most will be of higher performance. Be involved with new parts manufactured in our CNC department as well.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Perform stock and competition valve jobs, install guides and valve seats, hone guides

Flow test and assemble cylinder heads

Read dial bore gauges, spring tester and micrometers

Keep records of jobs, build sheets, dimensions etc while working through projects

Provide labor and time estimates for automotive machining repairs

Inspect and test new parts

Requirements:

Must have tools to do his or her job or willing to acquire necessary tools needed

Knowledge/experience in above listed field of work

Willing to learn

Keep machines and work area clean

Be on time

​Qualifications:

Previous experience or schooling as an automotive machinist, cylinder head repair, engine builder

Knowledge of Sunnen automotive machine/repair equipment

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills of engines

Interest in racing and older muscle cars

Deadline and detail-oriented

Work well with others being a team player
