Jr. programmer: WordPress, PHP

The Woodworkers of Green Valley, AZ a non-profit 501c Hobby Shop Club, is seeking a part-time WordPress, PHP Jr. programmer to take over programming and QA of our web-based membership application system.

Location: Remote or local Green Valley, AZ

Mode of Interview: Phone & Video

Skills Required:

One to two years of PHP programming with Linux, WordPress, MySQL, HTML, CSS, WordPress Admin, Plugins and basics of content creation. SEO is not required nor used. Applicant must be fluent in speaking the English language that can be easily understood.

The individual will be trained by the original developer of our current system, plus the individual will be taught the ability to write custom Apps. for WordPress.

Other skills to be learned include child theme, short codes and implementation, menu controls, database add-ons, database triggers, automated join, automated orientation, drawers and locker management, monitor management, shop scan-n-go, auto memberships, calendars and registrations, member products, web-based application recovery, cPanel, etc.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is relatively new in the field of website development, because it will not only allow them to put their acquired knowledge to use, but will also provide them with opportunity of learning advanced coding skills typically not taught in a classroom environment.
