Lead supplier and customer contract review process. Includes analysis and interpretation of financial terms and documentation of proper revenue recognition. Candidate must be curiously inclined and analytical as the role requires the ability to investigate contract attributes and review complex calculations on large volume data sets.

Foster and build relationships with business partners in Foodbuy and the Compass organization. As a liaison between FB Accounting Close teams and Legal/Technical Accounting, role has high exposure to leadership and is responsible for communicating contractual terms to varying levels within the business.

Responsible for the input, maintenance, and review of the in-house contract databases with a focus on continuous process improvement.

Support and drive department focus on enhanced controls. Responsible for internal reviews and audits of departmental journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure compliance to proper accounting controls and KFCs.

Responsible for identifying and coordinating business solutions between multiple teams that drive value within the organization.

Perform contract reviews validating VA terms in conjunction with Supplier agreements to determine accuracy and identify income opportunities.

Assist with Mid-Year, Interim, Year-End and Committed Customer audit deliverables

Assist with month-end transactional close tasks as needed

Complete special projects as assigned by management

Provide standard and ad hoc analysis and reporting for internal and external customers as identified or assigned

Requirements:

Four-year degree in Accounting or Finance required

CPA certifications/candidate or MBA preferred

3-5 years of accounting experience

Proficient with Office 365 application (Excel, Power Bi, SharePoint preferred)

Experience with SAP, Essbase/Hyperion a plus

Experience with a large company (> $3 billion sales preferred)

Other Skills/Abilities:

Strong Accounting knowledge and analytical skills

Public Accounting experience - preferred

Proficiency with legal contracts - minimum 2 years

Ability to multi-task between various priorities, tasks, and timelines

Detailed oriented with strong analytical/problem solving skills

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Strong organization and planning skills

Desire to continuously learn and grow as a professional

Collaborative - works well as a member of a team

Accounting knowledge and understanding of the balance sheet process

Experience mapping and flowcharting business and accounting processes

Critical thinker and self-starter

Ability to manage high volume and quick turn-around responses
