Job Description

HEINI, a construction studio specializing in the development, design, fabrication, and installation of experiences and temporary environments, is currently seeking an Event Site Specialist to assist our senior project managers in overseeing and coordinating temporary architecture and event projects. While creative work may occasionally be part of the role, the primary focus will be on assisting with managing critical paths and schedules, site management, site maintenance, scheduling trucks and labor, and inventory management.

Responsibilities:

- Assist project managers in planning, organizing, and executing projects with a focus on onsite labor.

- Ensure adherence to proper OSHA standards and client expectations pertaining to onsite activity

- Manage critical paths and schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.

- Conduct materials research and procurement/returns as needed.

- Coordinate scheduling of trucks and labor for project delivery and execution.

- Manage inventory of client assets

- Support the efficient allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize project performance.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate technical elements, such as lighting, audiovisual, and interactive components, into event designs.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Site Supervision, Construction Management, Project Management, Interior Design, or related field preferred but less applicable with more experience in construction.

- Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials, with a keen eye for detail and quality.

- Previous experience in event production, set design, design project management, FF&E procurement, interior design, or a design-build company is a plus

- Must be willing to work long hours during project installs, including nights and weekends for a few weeks a year

- Experience working directly with fabricators, either internally in a fabrication shop or through project collaboration, preferred.

- Previous experience in event production or related field, with a demonstrated understanding of high-intensity timelines and stress associated with event work in New York City.

- Art handling, fabrication or design experience is a plus
