Job Description: As a Bookkeeper at Mery Lopez, P. A., you will be responsible for maintaining the firm's financial records, including accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), and conducting bank reconciliations. You will play an important role in ensuring the accuracy of our financial data and supporting our legal team's operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and consistently record all daily financial transactions, to include deposits and all types of withdrawals.

Perform monthly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts and resolve any discrepancies. IOTA accounts must

always be audit ready.

Process weekly payroll and cash management for attorney review.

Maintain accurate financial records and statements using QuickBooks Desktop.

Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with attorney to manage client trust accounts.

Handle financial information with integrity and confidentiality.

Accounts Receivable:

Record daily payments and make check deposits using remote system.

Posting to G/L and reconciliation of daily receivables.

Accounts Payable:

Record daily ACH, debits, and checks.

Must keep weekly track and recording of all payables using schedule.

Posting to G/L and reconciliation of daily payables.

Qualifications/experience:

At least 5 years working at a law firm.

QuickBooks and Excel are a must.

An accounting degree is preferred but not mandatory.

Job type and schedule:

Part time, 20 -25 hours per week, Monday - Friday
