Description We are offering a unique opportunity for an Accounting Technician in San Diego, California, United States. This role is within the accounting department and focuses on providing support through financial and accounting duties. Our workplace is a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for tasks such as processing payments, posting activities in the sub-ledger and general ledger, and providing overall support to the administration. Responsibilities: Process and post daily funds receipts and payments including cash, check, and EFT: ACH & wires. Prepare and post journal entries in a timely and efficient manner. Assist in the process and posting of stocks donations. Post financial activities as per the assigned schedule. Contribute to the preparation of year-end closing and annual audits. Assist with the annual budget preparation by performing assigned tasks in preparing the department budget schedules. Serve as backup to process and post accounts payable invoices. Act as a backup to process payments to vendors as needed. Serve as backup to process billing to Parishes and Schools. Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the management. Skills: Proficient in MS Excel and Great Plains (GPAC). Experience in Intercompany Accounting. Familiarity with Ledger Reconciliations and Journal Entries. Strong ability to multi-task and maintain attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other Cloud-Based Software applications. Requirements Minimum of 1-year experience in an accounting role Proficient in MS Excel Knowledge of Great Plains (GPAC) accounting software Experience in intercompany accounting Familiarity with ledger reconciliations Capable of preparing and posting journal entries Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and within a team Attention to detail and high level of accuracy Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
