Resort Manager- Lovers Key Resort (Fort Myers Beach, FL) - Full Time

This position is responsible for the direct oversight of Guest Services, Owner Relations, Housekeeping and Maintenance departments. Responsible for assisting in maintaining the overall operation of the resort, demonstrating a passion and understanding of company goals, concepts, practices, and procedures for managed work group(s) and how they support related operations. Acts as back-up property HR Representative/Contact by ensuring all Human Resource and Payroll paperwork and policies are followed, maintaining knowledgeable in areas including: payroll process, worker’s compensation, benefits, references, recruitment laws, employee relations, etc as necessary.

Essential Job Functions | Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Directly supervises the staff and department operations (e.g. hiring, terminating, disciplinary actions, performance evaluations, etc.), Scheduling subordinates, maintaining adequate staffing levels while adhering to labor standards guidelines

Assures maximum guest service through training, including but not limited to: resort amenities, the local area, shopping, dining, entertaining, current groups and banquet functions

Maintains accurate records including cash flow sheet, direct bill accounts, credit card receipts, registration cards, reservation cards, direct bills, and credit cards

Conducts or assists in conducting regular staff meetings and quarterly safety meetings

Covers shifts in all departments as necessary

Maintains and implements established Emergency Procedures, assuring the security of guest and monies

Executes strategic goals, participate/facilitate committee and team projects. Maintain safety of resort for guests, owners and staff.

Maintain positive guest, owner, and employee relationships, embracing and exhibiting the highest level of ethics and integrity consistent with SunStream Hotels & Resorts standards, receiving and resolving guest, owner , or employee complaints in a timely fashion

Demonstrates an ability to motivate and communicate expectations with humility and respect, exercise the ability to attract, coach, train, and retain talent by engaging and showing a genuine passion to develop others

Supports and assists with financial aspects of the resort. Understands and assists with preparations of the annual budget by identifying areas of cost reductions, operational improvements and periodic analysis of expense data. Understand monthly P&L reports. Work with accounting staff to ensure compliance, manage and forecast annual budgets for each department, review and respond to variances

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

Acts as the Hotel/Resort Manager on Duty Manager on duty

Flexible availability/schedule including weekends, evenings & holidays required

Four-year degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management or related field preferred

Minimum of five (2) years previous experience working in hospitality supervisory or management capacity highly preferred

Previous experience working with Maestro preferred
