Dental Hygienist (Full Time/Part Time)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include performing dental cleanings, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dentist during procedures.

Responsibilities:

- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing

- Take and develop dental x-rays

- Conduct oral cancer screenings

- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed

- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for home care

- Assist the dentist during procedures by passing instruments, suctioning, and providing patient comfort

- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes

- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment

- Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care

Skills:

- Proficiency in Dentrix Ascend or other dental practice management software

- Strong understanding of dental anatomy and oral health conditions

- Experience working in a dental office setting

- Competency in taking vital signs and recording patient information accurately

- Thorough knowledge of infection control protocols and practices

- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and interact with patients
