small engine Mechanic/part changer for scooter shop

We are looking for a Mechanic/part changer to maintain and repair scooters and off-road vehicles. Must be able to diagnose various machines and familiarity with different tool types as well as follow all safety precautions. We do not split engines. Most duties are removing and replacing components.

Responsibilities

-Oil changes

-Clutch & belt replacements

-Prep new units

-Tire changes

-Perform thorough maintenance

-Clean and apply lubricants

-Replenish fluids

-Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner

-Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g. assembly of new units, load and unload vehicles, unload shipments.)

Skills

-Very good communication skills

-A problem-solving ability

-Very good physical strength and stamina

-High school diploma is preferred

-Valid DL with motorcycle endorsement or willing to get endorsement within 90 days required.

-Knowledge of forklift operation

-Ability to work efficiently with minimum supervision

-Punctuality & reliability

-Computer knowledge
