Line Cook/Sous Chef for Vegan Food Truck in NYC

Renegade Vegan is Brooklyn’s first and only alkaline vegan food truck. Located in the heart of Downtown Brooklyn, our goal is to create the same tasty dishes we enjoyed growing up, but with healthy ingredients. Our food is prepared fresh and with the high regard for customer satisfaction.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and upbeat line cook/sous chef who values teamwork and community to join our team. A positive attitude and a love of good food is a must!

Position is immediately available to those that qualify. Flexible schedule available

Responsibilities

Pre-shift food prep (e.g. chopping vegetables, preparing sauces).

Comply with standard recipes, portion sizes .

Monitor food stock inventory.

Prepare food.

Practice safe food handling practices.

Keep workstation clean and complies with food safety standards.

Exhibits a sense of urgency in responding to guests and orders.

Experience

Minimum of 2 years line cook experience in kitchen or food truck is required.
