Do you love cooking but also love interacting with customers? I am looking for a super star to join my team at the rapidly growing Schmaltz & Vinegar! Specializing in contemporary Jewish cuisine with a seasonal and fresh approach, Schmaltz & Vinegar does many things including catering, farmers markets and pop ups. Knowledge in Jewish cusine is not needed, but you definately need a willingness to learn and a passion for cooking. Ability to read and follow recipes, basic knife skills, and a sampling of bakingskills is required. Adaptability and flexibility is a must! Sometimes you will be mixing big batches of dough and rolling matzah balls and other times you will be roasting vegetables and prepping pickles. There arealso oppertunities to serve and assist at on site events.If you want to be a part of a business from the ground up, you have a willingness to learn, you love creating food and giving customers memorable meals than this is the job for you! Must have reliable transportation (I work out of a shared kitchen in the northwest suburbs, just over the Chicago border) and is most easily accessible via car.
