Medical Assistant - Independence, MO

Adecco Medical is searching for a Medical Assistant to become a part of our client's team in Independence, Missouri 64050.Pay$21-$23 per hourRequirements

High school diploma or GED is required.

At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant is required.

At least 6 months of phlebotomy experience is greatly desired.

Graduation from a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program is required. Can also have similar healthcare vocational training (i.e. foreign-trained physician, paramedic, etc.) experience instead.

BLS required.

EClinicalWorks or similar EMR experience.

Geriatric patient experience is a plus.

Required Skills/Abilities

Be a self-starter with the ability to think creatively and work effectively.

Able to work effectively with various seniorities and diverse populations including staff, providers, members, family members, insurance carriers, vendors and market leadership.

Have strong customer-oriented communication skills.

Demonstrate excellent critical reasoning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills to analyze situations, determine risks, and determine solutions to prevent future issues and resolve recurring defects.

Have experience with claims/quality reports and analytical software packages.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel. Or knowledge of how to use a variety of other word-processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail and presentation software.

Be able to travel on occasion for company meetings.
