The full-time position of Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing general repair and maintenance of buildings managed by property management company/real estate developer as well as occasionally assisting on new construction projects. The position will include work in the building trades: carpentry, painting, mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems, etc.
Responsibilities and Duties:
-Light construction work, including rough and finish carpentry, interior and exterior painting, wallboard repair, etc.
-Perform general repair and maintenance to building systems at 23 properties.
-Light electrical work, changing light bulbs replacing breakers, installing LED units.
-Light plumbing work, including installing/replacing sink, faucet and toilet components, unclogging drains and pipes, and similar duties.
-Provide preventative maintenance service and testing support to systems and equipment and maintain logs relative to same.
-Assist in fire and safety inspections and building inspections.
-Participate in training relevant to improving job performance/safety.
Job Specifications:
-Must be able to pass a Washington State Patrol and other background checks.
-Current Washington State Driver's License required.
-Clean driving record required.
-Clean, professional appearance. No tobacco use is permitted on job sites.
Qualifications and Skills:
-SmartPhone required.
-Must have a working knowledge of building systems.
-Must have knowledge of and experience using a variety of power and hand tools.
-Must have basic understanding of carpentry, cabinetry, painting, and drywall principles.
-Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
-Demonstrate verbal and written communication skills.
Job Type:
Full-time 40 hours per week
