Senior Chemical Process and Costing Engineer

Senior Chemical Process and Costing Engineer (Wage Offer: $108,000/yr): Conduct extensive techno-economic analyses on carbon transformation plants. Assemble and create engineering and technical documents (e.g. techno-economic analyses, spec sheets, mass and energy balances, and process flow diagrams) for customer and partner delivery. Evaluate the costs, reliability, and efficiency of various CO2 removal systems and identify potential areas for improvement. Conduct market research to identify new and emerging trends. Represent the company as a technical expert in meetings with clients interested in utilizing Twelve's CO2 electrolysis systems. Provide technical support and guidance to clients throughout the sales lifecycle. Provide Class 5 cost estimates for commissioning CO2 electrolyzers and analyze the associated risks and uncertainties. Communicate with external investors and present the company's technology energy requirements compared to adjacent technologies. Develop new financial models to support the company's growth objectives. Develop complete synthesis and recovery procedures for carbon-based liquids at the company's pilot plant and design a closed-loop drying system for carbon-based solids. Optimize processes and integrate energy to enhance production efficiency. Leverage advanced modeling and simulation tools to identify ways to reduce waste and increase output. Strategize, develop, implement, and maintain program initiatives that contribute to the company's objectives.

Employee may work remotely from home office.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Chemical Engineering or related field. Two (2) years of experience required in the job offered or in a chemical- engineering related occupation.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Professional experience must include the following: Low-temperature CO2 electrolysis in a PEM system; AVEVA, SuperPro Designer, and Aspen Plus; Technoeconomic analysis (CapEx, OpEx, and Sensitivity analysis) and developing models; and Process design (PFD, PI&D), pipe sizing and hydraulic analysis.
