Key Responsibilities

Communicate data, reports, and analyses to business and management teams, providing interpretation within the context of the business and making recommendations for improvements

Build and manage multiple business cases, models, and forecasts to help guide positive business outcomes

Reports to the Marketing Analytics team while supporting a specific business area by fielding requests, attending meetings to keep informed of business, and building relationships to anticipate needs

Extract and compile data from multiple internal and external sources, evaluating the reliability and appropriate use for the information

Create regular and ad hoc reporting, identifying performance indicators, and presenting information in periodic dashboards and tools for data investigations

Model, forecast, and explain customer behavior, program trends, drivers for business changes, and opportunities for business improvement.

Use analytical approaches to evaluate marketing campaign performance, propose negotiation strategies, proactively recommend business improvements, and assess potential opportunities

Responsible for tracking, reporting, and analyzing performance of marketing campaigns, ad-hoc analytic requests, and development/automation of regular reports

Define analytical and data requirements for information systems, and work with technology teams on implementing and prioritizing improvements

Senior analysts are expected to learn new techniques and act as a guide for other team members using domain expertise

Senior analysts will present regularly to executive leadership with prepared projects or hypotheses to test and learn from marketing efforts

Senior analysts will regularly host meetings, take notes, and assign/track action items for follow up

Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, business, technical, or related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and related working experience

2 years of professional experience in data analysis or related working experience

Proficient in writing advanced SQL queries and working with large data sets

Excellent analytical skills and high degree of business acumen

Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills to tell actionable stories with data

Good technical skills and knowledge of MS Office, specifically Excel (e.g. pivots, charts, Power Query, etc.)

Understanding of relational database architecture and the ability to merge large data sets from disparate sources

Experience with statistical modeling, machine learning, operations research, or equivalents

Ability to work cross-functionally and lead projects

Able to multi-task and prioritize across multiple responsibilities

Proficient in a wide range and application of analytical, quantitative, and statistical techniques and tools to derive insights from large, complex data environments solving complex and ambiguous business problems in a timely manner

Preferred Qualifications

Graduate degree in a research, marketing, or quantitative discipline

4 years of professional experience in data analysis

Experience as an analyst in marketing, merchandising, loyalty, or consulting

Experience with customer data platforms and Loyalty-based consumer data

Knowledge of Tableau or similar data visualization tools to build and automate dashboards and reporting

Experience with identifying and presenting on key consumer behaviors and opportunities for personalization using digital journey analytics across multiple touchpoints

Prior experience using JIRA or other task management systems to receive, track, prioritize, and complete requests from multiple business owners
