baker / prep cook Cafe Fritz

CAFE FRITZ is hiring a prep cook / baker. All pastries are made from scratch using high quality ingredients. Currently looking for 1 to 2 experienced bakers/prep cooks - no lamination training required. Needs to be extremely reliable. Early morning and/or evening hours

Duties:

- Assist in the preparation of food items according to recipes and portion control guidelines

- Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items

- Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, cutting, and chopping fruits, vegetables, and meats

- Assist in cake decorating and pastry production

- Package prepared food items for storage or delivery

- Maintain a clean and organized work area

- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines

- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow

Experience:

- Previous experience as a Prep Cook or similar role in a professional kitchen setting is preferred

- Knowledge of food production techniques and culinary terminology

- Familiarity with cake decorating and pastry production is a plus

- Ability to use various kitchen equipment such as knives, mixers, ovens, etc.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately

- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of tasks
