Chef (Special Diets)
GENERAL DUTIES:
The Chef (Special Diets) will prepare meals for campers and staff who require special diets. This position will report to the Head Chef and collaborate with the Camp Director.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-2+ years experience cooking in a school or restaurant environment
-Experience cooking for clientele with food allergies
-Professional schooling and/or training desired
-Physically healthy, able to lift 50 lbs., be active/on feet 10 hours per day, 6 days per week
-Smoke-free and alcohol-free environment
-Serv Safe certification
REPORTS TO: Head Chef
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
-Prepare daily meals for campers and staff. All meals are egg free, dairy free, and gluten free.
-Bake allergy free birthday cakes throughout the summer
-Ensure sanitation in the kitchen and the quality of the food being served.
-Ensure that meals are prepared and served on time.
-Meet with campers at the beginning of each session to ensure they understand meal serving protocols
-Follow all Food Allergy Protocols in the kitchen
-No peanuts/tree nuts/sesame/shellfish in the kitchen.
-Communicate and coordinate with Head Chef on inventory and ordering to ensure desired products are stocked in the kitchen
