Job Summary:

As an Entry Level Rotomolding Operator at RTS Companies US Inc., you will be trained to operate and maintain rotomolding machinery to produce superior plastic parts and products. This role offers a great opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in manufacturing with potential for growth and advancement within our company.

Compensation:

The Entry Level Operator will be paid a starting wage from $17/hr. RTS encourages advancement in the company for motivated employees, with clear runways towards lead operator positions which are focused on a blend of production and leadership (see lead operator listing for details).

Shift Schedule (hiring on all three shifts):

8 Hour Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

8 Hour Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

8 Hour Night Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

All shifts include 30-minute paid lunch

Key Responsibilities:

Machine Operation:

o Operate rotational molding machinery and equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures.

o Measure and manage the loading of plastic resin into staging bins in accordance with the shift schedule.

o Load molds with the appropriate resin and monitor the molding process.

o Maintain proper cycle times, mold temperatures, and rotational speeds for optimal production.

Quality Control:

o Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet RTS Companies’ quality standards before moving them to secondary for trimming.

o Conduct routine checks and measurements to ensure product specifications are met and non-conformities are caught as soon as possible.

o Report any quality issues or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor promptly.

Maintenance and Cleaning:

o Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of molds and machinery.

o Assist in mold changes and setup for different product runs.

o Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.

Team Collaboration:

o Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.

o Communicate effectively with other departments as needed to ensure smooth operations.

o Contribute in continuous improvement and provide suggestions to team members and supervisors on how to improve production.

Safety:

o Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

o Identify and report potential safety hazards and implement corrective actions as necessary.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machinery operation.

Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Good physical condition, able to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.

Basic math skills for measuring and calculating material amounts.

Prior experience in manufacturing or a similar environment is a plus, but not required.
