Description We are looking for an AML/BSA Analyst to join client located in Chicago, Illinois. This role is a contract employment opportunity in the financial services industry where the successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and BSA (Bank Secrecy Act) compliance.Responsibilities: Analyze and monitor financial transactions for suspicious activity Prepare and file suspicious activity reports (SARs) in accordance with regulations Conduct AML/BSA risk assessments and report findings to management Liaise with internal departments to provide AML/BSA expertise and support Stay updated with changes in laws and regulations related to AML/BSA and implement changes in company policies and procedures accordingly Use Atlassian Jira, Configuration Management Database (MDB), and other tools for task tracking and reporting Perform gap analysis and suggest improvements in the current AML/BSA processes Participate in Agile Scrum meetings and contribute to the team's goals Document business requirements and work with the design team to implement them in the company's systems Adhere to and promote the company's configuration management policies and procedures.Requirements

Previous experience in anti-money laundering, fraud prevention, or financial auditing.

Knowledge of AML regulations and compliance processes.

Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Strong analytical abilities.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficient in using computer software and databases.

Attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to review and analyze large amounts of data.

Understanding of banking operations and systems.

Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification is preferred.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

High ethical standards and professionalism regarding confidential information.

Ability to identify suspicious activities and transactions.

Deep understanding of risk assessment and control.

Familiarity with investigative tools and methodologies.

Needs to have a strong understanding of financial industry, banking procedures, and financial products and their potential risks.
