Senior Developer, Data Science Platforms

Senior Developer, Data Science Platforms (Pacific Investment Management Company LLC (PIMCO) – Austin, TX); Multiple positions available. Develop core technologies that utilize data science to support product teams. Work with machine learning platforms to support internal clients across Business and Technology teams. Integrate open-source and commercial services while also creating React front ends using Python libraries and services. Design and write modular code, create reusable tools, and provide components to ensure user and developer experiences. Apply concepts relating to machine learning, data engineering, and infrastructure fundamentals to support data science platforms.

Requires a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in software development. In lieu of a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in a stated field and 2 years of experience as stated, we accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in software development. Must also have 2 years of experience in each of the following: User Interface development; HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and JQuery; Use of advanced Programming languages, including TypeScript or closely related; Developing and implementing JavaScript libraries, including React; and Designing and architecting frontend apps from the ground up. Experience may be gained concurrently.
