RESPONSIBILITIESI. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES: Plans, coordinates, and oversees the Queen’s University Medical Group (QUMG) pulmonary/pulmonary hypertension activities to ensure delivery of quality patient care/services, compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements, and achievement of established goals and objectives. Provides clinical and technical guidance to staff.II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Essential: finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, sitting, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods, walking, standing, stooping/bending, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, lifting and carrying usual weight of 1 pound up to 5 pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, frequent gripping of an object. Operates (equipment) computer, calculator, telephone, fax and printerIII. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions. Handles multiple tasks at a time. May require travel to the neighbor island.IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE: Current Hawaii State License as a Registered Nurse. Associates degree in Nursing. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred. Current certification in CPR at BLS-HCP level.B. EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years nursing experience with general pulmonary and pulmonary hypertension patients. Experience with word processing and database applications. Experience to demonstrate:o Ability to perform patient education and care coordination.o Ability to coordinate performance improvement activities.o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
