Min-Max Wage Range - $30-$40/hour, Starting Wage - DOE

SUMMARY:

Advanced level maintenance mechanic. Specific skills include mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, machining, welding, and electrical. Duties include installation, maintenance and repair of production or processing equipment. May fabricate machine parts, install/repair conveyers, replace motors, tear down or replace pumps, maintain fluid collection or distribution equipment or repair electro-mechanical equipment. Perform advanced-level troubleshooting, work in collaboration with the team, and may provide training to less experienced maintenance staff. This is a role that provides a great diversity of experience, creative thinking, and exposure to skills/machinery on many levels.

Essential Job Duties may include:

Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts. Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments, Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance and service. Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.etc.

Requirements:

1 - 2 years of technical training and 5+ years of related work experience or equivalent. Able to do electrical work, program computers in manufacturing, and follow safety regulations. Technical knowledge and ability to maintain production and facilities equipment, knowledge and ability to use machine shop tools such as lathes, drill presses, mills, welding equipment, knowledge of basic shop safety, ability to work safely, ability to frequently use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, ability to frequently grasp, open, close, and move tools using hands and wrists, ability to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs. and frequently lift up to approximately 30 lbs., ability to constantly stand, ability to frequently walk, ability to push, pull, pry, bend, squat and reach throughout the shift, ability to frequently see up close, peripherally and have depth perception, ability to hear and discern specific sounds, ability to attend to detail, ability to adapt during unpredictable situations, ability to work independently, ability to complete daily task list, ability to understand and use different types of basic computers and touch screens, ability to work with urethanes, epoxies, silicones and other plastics, ability to work with adhesives, possess technical and mechanical curiosity, possess high school diploma or equivalent, age 18 or older.

Materials/Equipment:

Lathes, drill presses, mills, machine shop tools, welding equipment, trouble shooting and measuring instruments. Works around urethane, epoxy, silicone and other polymer and/or composite materials.
