Kokee Lodge is Hiring! Full time and Part time positions available!

Kokee Lodge is located in historic Waimea Canyon state park. At 4000 feet above sea level we are surrounded by plants, wildlife, and the finest hiking trails around. We are a breakfast and lunch cafe style restaurant that emphasizes making things from scratch and using locally grown ingredients. The Lodge hosts a variety of weekend event including line dancing, concerts, and a7 course farm to table dining event curated by our head chef.

Starting pay: $20 an hour plus tips (tips add on about $8-$10 on average per hour) More depending on experience OR after a 90 day probation period if improvement and dedication has been shown.

No experience necessary. Willing to train the right person with the right attitude.

We do offer replacement tires and breaks every 6 months.

We're currently hiring for the following positions:

Prep Cook:

Job starts at 6am/7am and ends anywhere from 3pm-5pm.

Assist in the preparation of ingredients, help assemble and portion food items accurately and efficiently, assist in monitoring inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area. Follow the recipes provided. Takes instruction, direction and works closely with the chef team.

Line Cook:

Job starts anywhere between 6am-8am depending on the position and ends anywhere from 4pm-6pm.

Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to our recipes, manage a specific station on the kitchen line, such as grill, sauté, or salad. Have a sense of urgency, cook everything in a timely manner. Plate dishes according to our plating standards. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including proper storage of ingredients, utensils, and equipment. Takes instruction, direction and works closely with the chef team.

Dishwasher:

Job starts anywhere between 7am-8am depending on the position and ends anywhere from 5pm-6pm.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen, ensuring all dishes are washed and sanitized, and assisting with basic kitchen tasks. Completes weekly and monthly cleaning duties. Does prep work/knife work on down time. Takes instruction, direction, and works closely with the chef team.

Requirements for all positions:

Must have a flexible schedule. We are very flexible but do expect some consistency and willingness to work weekends.

Zero tolerance for poor/bad attendance

Zero tolerance for drug and alcohol use before or during work.

Reliable transportation to and from work.

Positive attitude.

Closed toed non slip shoes, pants.
