This position can be based remotely out of any US based remote/home office.The Global Positive Employee Relations Leader is accountable for providing leadership and vision to the continued build of process and structure around Eaton’s global positive employee relations strategy. This position requires an expert in employee and labor relations who can proactively identify and respond to potential organizing activities while promoting a culture of trust, open communication, and mutual respect.Position Overview:Specific areas of knowledge and experience needed for this role would include recruiting methods, employee listening and voice survey results and action plans, manufacturing culture, effective communication strategies, employment laws/regulations, works council relations, and campaign response. The role involves leading global teams, providing guidance, and executing HR strategies to support overall business objectives. The role has expertise in leading cross-functional teams for the improvement of processes and programs, analyzing the long-term impact of new and anticipated strategies, and ensuring a compliant and ethical work environment.The Global Positive Employee Relations Leader will lead positive employee relations strategy across Eaton’s 600+ global locations.Responsibilities: Leads projects that involve identifying innovative solutions and initiatives for novel abstract problems pertinent to a range of employee relations subjects and putting in place new strategies, processes, and programs after a thorough review of their expected long-term impact. Performs analyses on metrics around incidents, investigations, case conflicts, escalations, and resolutions. Identifies root causes and makes appropriate modifications to policies and practices. Maintains oversight for long-term roadmaps for employee relations initiatives. Oversees review of policies and procedures related to employee relations, conflict management, and workplace conduct to identify continuous improvement opportunities in line with business strategies and ensure their compliance with relevant laws. Participate in the development and deployment of ER-related training, including dedicated ownership over international training efforts. Provide regular reporting of employee and labor relations activity and results to drive organizational health and maturity. Serve as a member of the Employee Relations Leadership Team working to scale and refine the function, including the development of reactive and proactive initiatives, production of data analytics, and providing global employee relations support, thus ensuring an equitable and transparent employee experience across the company. Design and implement comprehensive positive employee relations strategies, responses to potential union organizing, and programs tailored to the organization’s needs. Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential union activity hotspots and develop action plans accordingly. Create communication plans to reinforce the company’s employee relations’ philosophy and educate employees on the benefits of direct communication with management. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labor laws and union activities to ensure compliance and preparedness. Coordinate with legal counsel as necessary to address labor relations issues and develop appropriate responses to union campaigns. 40% travel anticipated to Eaton global locationsRequired Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree (preferred) in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or Employee/Labor Relations from an accredited institution Minimum 10 years of work experience in Human Resources in the manufacturing industry in both union and union-free environments. Minimum 10 years of work experience in Labor Relations with a strong emphasis on leading responses to union organizing campaigns involving 100-1,000 employees. Minimum 5 years of work experience in Global Employee/Labor Relations. Must have experience operating as an executive in a global labor employee relations role, partnering with international groups and teams such as the European Works Council Proven track record of successfully leading responses to union organizing campaigns. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship both now and in the future​The expected annual salary range for this role is $172500.03 - $253000.04 a year.
