Our property features dual-firing central heating boilers, gas hot water heaters, and individual apartment Navien heating units. We are seeking a skilled and reliable Journeyman Licensed Plumber to join our team on a part-time, on-demand basis.

Job Description:

We are looking for a Journeyman Licensed Plumber with extensive experience in servicing and maintaining dual-firing central heating boilers, gas hot water heaters, and individual apartment Navien heating units. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of all NYC plumbing codes and compliance requirements. The ability to operate under a licensed master plumber for permit-required work is essential.

Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on dual-firing central heating boilers, gas hot water heaters, and Navien heating units.

- Ensure all work complies with NYC plumbing codes and regulations.

- Conduct inspections and provide recommendations for system improvements or necessary repairs.

- Collaborate with other maintenance staff to address plumbing issues promptly and efficiently.

- Operate under the supervision of a licensed master plumber when required for permit-related tasks.

- Maintain accurate records of all work performed and materials used.

- Handle apartment renovation plumbing needs, including installing and repairing fixtures, pipes, and systems.

- Service and maintain sewer lines and water mains to ensure proper functionality and compliance with regulations.

Requirements:

- Valid Journeyman Plumber License in New York City.

- Proven experience servicing dual-firing central heating boilers, gas hot water heaters, and Navien heating units.

- Extensive experience with apartment renovation plumbing needs, including fixtures, pipes, and systems.

- Expertise in servicing and maintaining sewer lines and water mains.

- In-depth knowledge of NYC plumbing codes and compliance requirements.

- Ability to work independently and efficiently on an on-demand basis.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) permit processes.

- Ability to provide emergency plumbing services as needed.

- Strong customer service skills.
