Growing together.As a UMR Strategic Account Executive, you'll create the strategic retention and growth plan for customers with the goal of serving and renewing accounts. You'll merge your business savvy and relationship skills to become an extension of the customer's business. It's as simple as that. If you're out to do more, this may be the opportunity for you.Primary Responsibilities:

Facilitate the lifecycle of the customer relationship from Request For Proposal (RFP) to contract renewal

Strategically plan and meet with customer quarterly, identifying trends and offering solutions per the Insight Driven Solutions (IDS) consultative process

Prepare, host and follow-up an annual strategic planning session

Accountable for customer (employer) loyalty and satisfaction, as measured by survey results and persistency

Establish, cultivate and manage the customer relationship at multiple levels, serving as a healthcare consultant and trusted business advisor to these customers

Establish, cultivate and manage relationships with consultants and brokers, recognizing the value they bring to our customers

Strategically plan, negotiate and influence the interactions and relationships with customers, their brokers/consultants and internal team members to achieve strategic account goals

Develop and maintain a detailed knowledge base of assigned customers, beyond the traditional healthcare-focused information/knowledge, to become an extension of the customer's business

Clearly demonstrate the value propositions for specialty and ancillary business to improve customer growth and retention

Lead and leverage a team of internal team members as part of the customer's Strategic Account Team to strategically direct the customer’s relationship with UnitedHealth Group

Strategically plan and meet with customers quarterly, identifying trends and offering solutions per the consultative and solutioning process

Determine and clearly articulate the value story, trend drivers and tracking of solutions performance to the customer

Life and Health Insurance license maintained as required by state law (or willing to obtain within 90 days of hire)

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience

Proven track record of 3+ years of working with senior-level executives and progressively increasing responsibility for client relationship management and consultation

3+ years of Experience using healthcare analytics to drive employee benefit strategy

Proficient at messaging, positioning and presentation of information for customer impact and influence

Ability to be visible in the market meeting with clients in person to establish, cultivate, influence and manage relationships

Proven solid work management skills - identify a goal and the steps needed for accomplishment and proactively manage action steps to accomplish goal

Proven excellent negotiation / influence, collaboration, and listening skills

Valid Driver’s license

Willing to work on-site in our Boston location

Preferred Qualifications:

3+ years of strategic and consultative client management experience within key accounts (100+ EE) in the group employee benefits industry

1+ years of experience selling dental, vision, life or financial protection products

TPA experience
