ESSENTIAL DUTIES
The Project Coordinator is responsible for developing, coordinating, and providing specialized training, education, outreach, and technical assistance to youth, medical providers, law enforcement, community members, and other social service providers on human trafficking. This position will coordinate and provide support for training and outreach activities internally and externally and serve as a liaison to community partners.
Develop, coordinate, and facilitate specialized training for identified projects on human trafficking. Tasks will vary depending on emerging community needs.
Provide technical assistance to community partners that promote the continued knowledge and implementation of best practices when working with victims and survivors of human trafficking.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with community-based organizations, health care agencies, law enforcement, and social service organizations and serve as a liaison between Interface and community partners.
Engage with underserved and culturally diverse populations and facilitate presentations and discussions related to human trafficking and interpersonal violence.
Provide crisis counseling and culturally and linguistically appropriate assistance to potential victims identified through training sessions.
Support the Executive Director in developing prevention programming to leverage human trafficking, particularly labor trafficking awareness in the community.
Contribute to research-informed approaches to primary prevention, development, and implementation of best practice and evidence-based training curricula and creativity to maintain social media and virtual education components.
Participate in training, workshop development, and implementation strategies that contribute to integrating evidence-based practices as a part of all training and technical assistance efforts. Assist with coordinating and facilitating training and internal and external outreach activities as needed.
Maintained accessible and complete records regarding resources, key contacts, and evaluation data and organized records of all meetings and events. Contribute to data collection and program evaluation efforts.

Responsible for maintaining accurate data collection records of program activities and creating new forms to obtain data. Prepare grant reports in conjunction with other program directors.
Develop and update evaluation tools, pre/posttests, surveys, needs assessment tools, etc., to assess and report program activities.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in victimology, psychology, sociology, criminal justice, public policy, or a related field. A Master’s Degree is preferred but not required.
A minimum of 2 years of experience with public speaking and the ability to engage in a wide range of audiences is required.
Must be able to prioritize tasks, organize thoughts and communicate well verbally and in writing.
Must possess the ability to handle emergencies/crises, as well as solid skills in decision-making, organization, leadership, and excellent time management skills;
Work independently with minimal supervision or in a team setting and maintain flexibility.
Requires flexibility with schedule as evening and weekend work may be required
Must have excellent technical skills, preferably experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Zoom, Canva, or other media design platforms
Must have completed or be available to complete the required 65-hour human trafficking and sexual assault, and domestic violence training within three months of hire
Knowledge of prevention theories and program strategies
Grant writing and program development and implementation experience;
Minimum of 2 years experience in sexual assault prevention education, counseling, or a related discipline Experience providing services to sexual assault victims/survivors.
Write and design prevention programs and write curriculum.
Successful background and criminal clearance required and maintained, including but not limited to California Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Child Abuse Index, and Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV)
Proof of a valid California Driver’s License, reliable transportation, proof of automobile insurance (listed as covered), pass and maintain driving approval as required by our insurance.
