This is an authentic Japanese ramen restaurant with a full bar in our basement. Our restaurant is Otaku themed, so you can expect to see kaiju and anime everywhere.

All interviews are brief. Interviews will be held inside Kaiju Ramen & Bar which is located at

525 8th street SE, Washington D.C.

Experience is preferred. We require basic kitchen etiquette, food safety, and hygiene.

The individual is expected to:

-Handle hot bowls

-Maintain food safety routines when working with high temperature liquids

-Able to carry up to 50LBs

-Steady hands for holding and pouring pre-measured liquid with Measured ladles.

-Able to read and speak English. At minimum read and say the ingredients.

-Chopsticks will be used at the minimal. Chopsticks for stirring noodles and placing noodles in bowl of soup.

We can teach you how to use chopsticks.

-It is an open kitchen, so you must be groomed and upkeep hygiene appropriately. Hats will be worn in the kitchen at all times and will not be provided.

What to expect as an Assistant Ramen Line Cook?

Our dishes are pretty straight forward although kitchen experience is still preferred. Expect hot bowls, prepping, pouring measured liquids, stocking inventory for kitchen, and of course like any other kitchen, helping with the clean up when closing.

A clean kitchen is a safe kitchen.

Hours for the following position:

4:45PM-11:15PM. Friday and Saturdays

4:45PM-9:45PM. Sundays

Mondays - Closed

Total of 3 days. More hours can be negotiated

Benefits: Employee discount and a meal provided after shift.

Paid Training at $17/HR

Start Wage: $17/HR. Can be negotiated through show of work and experience.
