The Job: Our company is looking to add a part or full-time member to our design/fabrication team. The right candidate will be self-motivated, organized, demonstrate flexibility, and possess fabrication problem-solving skills. You will be primarily responsible for producing items on the CNC, Laser Engraver, Diamond Engraver, Sand Carver, hand engraver and/or UV Printer. You will also provide sign production and install support as needed. We also all operate a variety of power tools including, but not limited to a panel saw, table saw, cutter, drill press, and an endless parade of power tools. Our production environment demands time management skills, problem solving abilities, and accurate processing of details. We work together to design, plan, build, work with customers, organize, learn, and teach each other.
Important note: If you are looking for a designer position where all day is spent at a computer station keep looking because this job is a hands-on production position.
Job Requirements:
5+ years verifiable successful history of professional graphic design, production, and/or sign industry related experience.
One or more years experience operating CO2 laser and/or CNC cutting machines.
Demonstrable high level of proficiency in Corel or Illustrator.
Aspire Software experience and skill desired.
Knowledge of sign fabrication and materials.
Good problem-solving skills, and ability to prioritize and multi-task in a production graphics environment.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to deliver and receive information in a clear and respectful manner to fellow team members, customers, and vendors.
Superior spelling skills and ability to perform accurately a variety of mathematical operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, calculate area, ruler/tape measure)
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrate responsibility and accountability in recognizing and accomplishing all tasks where there is a direct job responsibility
