Auto Body Prepper/Painter's Assistant

The person applying for this job must have knowledge of preparing a vehicle to be painted.

You must have the ability to sand, prep, and prime a vehicle before it is painted.

Must know how to tape off and mask a vehicle before painting.

You will become part of an experienced team of people who have been working on vehicles for many years.

JOB TITLE: Painter-Helper

Status: Full Time

Key Responsibilities:

To set up paint jobs from start to finish which includes washing, masking and learning to paint. To ensure that all paint finishes meet or exceeds the customer's requirements and that all hazardous materials are handled properly at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Mask and hang unfinished parts

Sand and clean parts in preparation for painting

Operate manual painting equipment

Help maintain paint line, spray booths and other equipment

Store, handle, dispose of flammable and hazardous materials following all Federal, State and company regulations and guidelines

Read and understand prints

Clean and maintain equipment and work area

REQUIREMENTS:

Previous painting experience preferred but not required, training provided

Some auto body work skills helpful
